Who’s Eligible for TECH Clean California Rebates?
TECH Clean California rebates are available state-wide and can be claimed for single and multi-family homes (rebate amounts differ for multi-family properties). There are no income qualifications, and the rebates can be stacked with other incentives, like the 30% heat pump tax credit.
To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:
- Equipment must be installed by a TECH-enrolled contractor
- Must be transitioning from a non-heat pump HVAC system like a furnace to a heat pump HVAC system
- Equipment must be installed as a retrofit in an existing home
- Equipment must be AHRI-matched
- Equipment must meet Title 24 code minimum standards
